The PAGC department was created in 2018 by merging three departments of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies: physical and colloidal chemistry, analytical chemistry, and general chemistry. The teaching staff of the department consists of 18 people, including 6 doctors of science and 12 candidates of science.
The purpose of the department's activity is to integrate the achievements of modern science into the educational process. The set tasks are implemented by improving the content of educational disciplines and their methodical support; organization of the educational process; raising the scientific and pedagogical level of employees; informatization of activities and improvement of the material and technical base of the department, development of international cooperation.
The Center for collective use of scientific equipment "Laboratory of promising technologies for the creation and physico-chemical analysis of new substances and functional materials" equipped with modern devices operates on the basis of the department.
