Head of the Center: Yaryna Turchyn - Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor of Political Science and International Relations, Director of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Deputy head of the Center: Natalya Vovk - Associate Professor of the Department of Social Communications and Information Activity of the Lviv Polytechnik National University.
The activity of the Innovation center will influence the strengthening of the quality of teaching of European studies in Ukrainian universities; create conditions for the dissemination of best practices and the exchange of progressive experience; development of new ideas that will allow to harmoniously integrate knowledge about the EU and European integration into the curricula of technical students in the form of separate modules, as they will form not only general but also professional competencies of the students.
Tasks of the Center:
- develop and improve methods of teaching European studies at universities in Ukraine, including for students of technical specialties;
- development of ideas and recommendations for the introduction of interdisciplinary educational-professional and educational-scientific programs that will combine knowledge about the EU, European integration of Ukraine and the necessary changes in the professional activities of graduates of technical specialties;
- dissemination of gained experience and exchange of knowledge among professionals-practitioners on the implementation of European studies both at the level of NULP and beyond;
- the gained experience will be disseminated in various ways, including through a series of public lectures, trainings of project team members on the basic methods of teaching the proposed modules and other events within the Jean Monnet Department (mostly online);
- the center will conduct a survey of students and teachers from European Studies and analyze the results obtained to improve education and research.
