Lecturers of IHSS are actively working on a Ukrainian-Polish project on the protection of the rights of national minorities

The lecturers of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of Lviv Polytechnic National University are actively working on the Ukrainian-Polish project «State Policy on the Protection of the Rights of National Minorities: the Experience of Ukraine and Poland», which is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Within the project, Professor of the Department, Mykola Buchyn, met with the Head of the Association of Ukrainians in Szczecin (Poland) Ivan Syrnyk and representatives of local media. Our lecturers are investigating the activities of the Ukrainian minority in modern Poland (on the territory of Warmian-Masurian, Pomeranian and West Pomeranian Voivodeships), while Polish scholars, led by Teresa Astramowicz-Leyk, Professor of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, – a Polish minority in Ukraine (Lviv, Zhytomyr and Vinnytsa Oblasts).
