During May, our students represented online Lviv Polytechnic at the International Competition «Taras Shevchenko Unites Peoples». Polytechnic girls took high places.

For the second year in a row, students of Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development represent Polytechnic at the Shevchenko competition. This year more than 700 participants from 14 countries took part in it. Kobzar’s poems were recited in 23 languages of the world.

«I am very glad that Lviv Polytechnic students took part in this competition. There are lots of worthy people in Polytechnic who support our country, e.g. Prosvita Society, which works on cultural and patriotic education of young people. Every year our University holds a competition of Shevchenko readings. It has already become a good tradition, to which creative and active student youth join from generation to generation», said Olha Nedzvetska, a senior lecturer at the Department of Tourism and Head of the Prosvita branch at Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development.

Among the good reciters, there are fourth-year students of Lviv Polytechnic: Tetiana Lozynska and Sofiia Dzhuriak, who took the second place in the nomination «My Shevchenko», and Anastasiia Chernyshova, who took the third place in the nomination «Read and sung poetry of Taras Shevchenko».

«The competition left positive emotions. In preparation for the performance, we selected poems, read them, prepared costumes, tried to find ourselves in Shevchenko’s images and fully immerse ourselves in them», shared her impressions of the competition Anastasiia Chernyshova.
