Quarantine and a change of routine activities are not reasons for vacations. On the contrary, this is a great opportunity to try online learning format and draw knowledge from professionals. To ensure that self-isolation time is as productive as possible, Lviv IT Cluster launches an updated version of the project for pupils IT Future: Next Generation.
IT Future: Next Generation is an online educational project consisting of a series of video lessons, practical classes and webinars from leading IT experts.
– Due to online learning format, previously we have managed to attract many cool IT companies to teach within the Internet of Things program in Lviv Polytechnic, says the Head of Educational Direction at Lviv IT Cluster, CScTech, Assistant at the Department of Computerized Automation Systems, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology Zenovii Veres. For example, one student team worked with their mentor, Dmytro Maleiev, who was working in Thailand, and architect from SoftServe, Yaroslav Klochnyk, evaluated students laboratory works while he was on a business trip in Australia.
Twice a week, for at least, two months, IT practitioners and industry experts will teach programming and talk about the specifics of working in the IT industry. Thus this is a unique opportunity to learn more about IT, ask your questions to experts, fulfill practical tasks and gain invaluable knowledge.
– An additional bonus is videos that can be viewed at any time. My students often share records with their friends in other areas, as well as with pupils and teachers. Given that schools are closed now, and we have extensive experience of quality online teaching, I believe that Lviv IT Cluster is ready for an ambitious goal: to start teaching for pupils of all schools, regardless of their level of knowledge and skills, emphasizes Zenovii Veres.
