Within the E-marketing project framework, teachers of Marketing and Logistics Department held Earth Day 2025

On the basis of Marketing and Logistics Department of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" within the project "Dissemination of EU practices through E-marketing, conscious consumption, circular economy, resource efficiency" framework Erasmus + Jean Monnet Module on April 21-22, the Earth Day 55th anniversary was celebrated.

On Monday, April 21, project team members held a thematic lecture "The essence of conscious consumption in various spheres of life. Conscious lifestyle" using interactive learning tools.

On Tuesday, April 22, the project team - Oksana Dovhun, Taisiia Nakonechna, and Nataliia Mashchak - held an open online event in the world cafe format to raise awareness and draw the attention of students, scientists, and businesses to existing environmental problems.

The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Head of Marketing and Logistics Department, Professor Nazar Hlynskyy, who emphasized the event scale, which has been held annually around the world for over 50 years and noted the relevance of level raising of environmental awareness and popularizing European principles of environmental care among society as part of integration into the EU community.

In the first part of the online event, student teams debated on the topics: circular economy, conscious consumption, and digitalization, presenting arguments for and against. The teams were evaluated by a jury consisting of experts working in responsible business and the field of ecology:

  • Oksana Lutsko – Deputy Head of Ecology and Natural Resources Department of Urban Planning, Lviv City Council;
  • Nazar Kyryleyza – Head of the Project Implementation Department of the Green City LCP;
  • Lidiia Bolibrukh – Senior Specialist of the Operations Management Department, Ralph Lauren Corporation (Germany).

According to the jury's decision, the team that presented arguments "for" digitalization won the debate, scoring 44 points out of 45 possible: Maria Galas, Marta Kurylo, Ruslana Shcherban, Nadia Levytska, Viktoria Stepaniuk, and Olga Asich.

In the second part of the online event, conscious consumer guides developed by students based on marketing research conducted specifically for the event were presented, and the results of the competition for the best guide were announced. 140 respondents took part in the voting. According to its results, the winner of the competition was the guide about the company initiatives of "Vesna", developed by students Olena Nester and Sofia Semenovich (gr. ME-311), which received the largest number of votes - 50.

The winning team of the debates and the guide competition will receive incentive prizes - eco-bags.

The project team members express their gratitude to all participants of the event for "Earth Day-2025" within the framework of project "Dissemination of EU practices through e-marketing, conscious consumption, circular economy, resource efficiency" ("E-Marketing") implementation of the Jean Monnet Modules Erasmus+ direction.
