The pace at which volunteer centers and collection centers for refugee and military are deployed and organized is simply astounding. At Lviv Polytechnic such centers also work without days off and rest and do not plan to stop until the victory.
From the first days of the war, the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid to Internally Displaced Persons and the Army became one of the collection points for food and basic necessities at our University. There is always a lot of work, and not only Polytechnicians help collect, but our graduates and residents of the city as well.
- We have not only started active work on the accumulation of resources, but, in fact, we pass them on to everyone who needs them. We have been delivering everything since the morning - we have a lot of applications from volunteer centers. They take away by their own transport, or we deliver by our own efforts. We have human resources, everyone works non-stop, and we consider all proposals and applications. There are always several cars on duty, - says Yurii Malynovskyi, coordinator of the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid to Internally Displaced Persons and the Army.
Everything is collected, from basic necessities and hygiene items to food for refugees and the military, as well as for volunteers working at the Center. However, Mr. Malynovskyi emphasizes that products with a long shelf life (canned food, cereals, etc.) are most needed. Needs and work are not decreasing every day, so they will gladly accept any help: volunteer, financial and supply of provisions.
