Dear Polytechnicians!

The International Mother Language Day reminds us of the uniqueness and value of language, which is not only a means of communication, but also an integral part of our culture, history and national identity. The mother tongue is the source of our wisdom, the heritage of our ancestors and a bridge to the future.

For our people, the issue of preserving our native language has always been extremely important. For centuries, our language has been subjected to oppression, bans and persecution, and attempts have been made to eradicate it, depriving Ukrainians of their identity. However, despite all attempts to destroy it, the Ukrainian language has survived thanks to the indomitable spirit of the people, their struggle for the right to speak, write and think in their native language.

Today we continue this struggle, which has become a struggle for survival. We have no right to forget: there can be no nation without a native language. It is the language that shapes our identity, unites us and gives us the strength to move forward and build the future. It is our sacred duty to cherish our mother tongue, protect its purity and promote it in all spheres of life, both to the generations who died for our language and to the future generations whose free life is being fought for today.

Let our Ukrainian language be our guide to victory and prosperity of our country.

Acting Rector
