On April 21, a modern laboratory was opened at the Software Department, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, where students will learn to develop game programs. Since on this day Lviv Polytechnic was hosting a Science Fair, which brought together high school students from various schools of the Lviv region, future entrants came to the event to learn more about this Institute.
Having solemnly cut the ribbon in the renovated and equipped with the most modern equipment lab, Oleh Matviikiv, the First Vice-Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, addressed the audience:
– Not only companies’ representatives, who sponsored this laboratory, put their heart into the project, but the management of the Institute and the Department as well. Such cooperation is very important for us, our students and entrants. The university is an extremely important intermediate link in a young person’s life, we have to teach, give instructions, and the companies are future employers, places where students will build a career and develop. And the sooner they will familiarize themselves with the equipment and technologies used by companies, the sooner they will be able to achieve success, emphasized Oleh Matviikiv.
He also expressed his gratitude to the companies that, in such difficult times, when we all have to support our armed forces a lot, find an opportunity to help education as well, realizing that without this there will be no successful development of the state. The First Vice-Rector expressed hope that the cooperation will continue.
The representative of the N-iX company Sviatoslav Kavetskyi noted the importance of the laboratory and confirmed his intentions to further support the development of the technical support of Lviv Polytechnic.
