The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the composition of the National Council for Science & Technology Development within its Administrative Committee. The corresponding decision was made at the government meeting on September 15, 2023.
The changes, provided for by the adopted decree, relate to the composition of the Administrative Committee of the National Council for Science & Technology Development in the new edition, which is connected with the premature termination of the mandate of seven members of the Administrative Committee and the introduction of new members to the Administrative Committee.
The government also made changes to the addendum to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 9, 2017 No. 520 «On approval of the composition of the Scientific Committee Council of Ukraine for Science and Technology Development», relating to the renewal of the composition of the National Council for Science & Technology Development, which is carried out once every two years through the election of members of the Scientific Committee Council by the Scientific Identification Committee.
The Scientific Committee, with a term of office for four years, consists of 12 people, including Anatolii Andrushchak, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Nanomaterials Science, the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Fundamental Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The National Council for Science & Technology Development is an active advisory body established at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with the aim of ensuring effective interaction of representatives of the scientific community, executive authorities and the real sector of the economy in the formation and implementation of a unified state policy in the field of science and technology.
The National Council consists of the Scientific and Administrative Committees, which are its working collegial bodies, representing the interests of the scientific community and executive authorities and the real sector of the economy, respectively.
