A new tradition has been launched at our University – the solemn awarding of the winners of «The Lviv Polytechnic Philanthropist of the Year» competition to honour those who cherish spiritual values and work selflessly for the public good. On January 21, friends and partners of Polytechnic, who care for it and contribute to its development, gathered for the ceremony.
Welcoming the guests, the Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, in particular, stressed that this event is the first step in perpetuating the names of philanthropists in the history of our University. An alley of philanthropists will soon be created at the University, where their names will be written so that everyone knows and understands the importance of personal deeds for the common good.
– Thank you for your cooperation! It was with your help that we managed to make extremely significant changes for our University. It is important that we share common values: we care and work for the development of Ukrainian education and science. There are many talented, competent and purposeful people, successful businessmen and real leaders among you. Your experience and help are very valuable to us! What we are working on at Lviv Polytechnic undoubtedly has a long-term perspective, so reliable partners who can advise, support and help are so important. I invite you to make further changes together!, emphasized Yurii Bobalo.
At the event the attendees had the opportunity to learn about the main achievements of Lviv Polytechnic and large-scale projects that are planned to be implemented. Liliia Zhuk, Vice-Rector for Education and Strategic Development, told about them.
