This year in April, two teachers of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic, - Candidate of Political Science, Associate Professor Olha Ivasechko and Candidate of Political Science, Senior Lecturer Dominika Roslon - became the winners of the international project on academic exchange NAWA Prom.
The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) is implementing the Prom program, which aims to improve the competencies of postgraduate students and researchers from Poland and abroad, including non-EU countries. NAWA selects university projects and allocates funding for the participation of postgraduate students, researchers and teaching staff in short forms of educational programs. The main focus group of the program is postgraduate students, whose share in the project is 80%, while research and teaching staff - 20%. By the way, last year Oleksandr Sokolovskyi, a postgraduate student of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, won the competition.
This year, Lviv Polytechnicians will carry out research under the individual grant at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. The topic of Olha Ivasechko's research is «Educational Research Centers of the Ukrainian National Minority in Poland: Status, Specifics and Prospects of Functioning», and Dominika Roslon will study security challenges in the Kaliningrad region. The scientific curator of the teachers will be Doctor of Political Science, Professor Teresa Astramowicz-Leyk.
Despite the difficult conditions for the development of science during the war, teachers of Lviv Polytechnic National University are actively using opportunities to develop international scientific cooperation.
