On December 7, 2022, a meeting of the joint Competition Commission was held to consider the issue «About the competition and submissions for awarding the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to young scientists 2021». Prizes are awarded on the submission of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation based on the rating submission of the relevant Competition Commission according to the results of expertise.
According to the results of the meeting, the draft Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine «On awarding the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to young scientists 2021» was submitted and registered.
On December 13, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 2833-IX «On awarding the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to young scientists 2021».
Among the award winners there are two representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University:
- Fedushko Solomiia – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences – for the work «Intellectual methods, models and information technologies for the control of dangerous diseases in the conditions of a pandemic» (co-author);
- Orest Kochan – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Measuring Information Technologies, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, – for the work «Scientific and technical principles of increasing the accuracy of industrial temperature measurements by thermoelectric converters».
