On November 29, the 4th and 5th year students of Lviv Polytechnic University learned how the Analytical System YouControl works. An educational workshop – Open Data for Students – was organized for them.
This was an opportunity for Polytechnicians to learn how to verify counterparty, analyze business environment, search information for a journalistic investigation, and how to generally work with open source data. With the help of the analytical system, students were able to more effectively work on courseworks, diploma projects and to prepare for practical classes on the basis of the cases and data from real companies.
In such a way you can learn about the financial and market power of a company or enterprise, its financial capacity and litigation. With such a service you can evaluate the company: whether it is reliable in terms of employment, whether it has tax or other debts, or if it is risky to cooperate with it. Also, the service allows you to track the company’s fictitiousness and imposition of sanctions.
Nowadays, the open data is about 600 sets, 60 million litigations, which are successfully used by media and community organizations to disclose unfair business. For students, this service is also interesting for the study.
