On December 20, 2023, a presentation of the project «Development of the Lviv Digital Innovation Hub» was held with the support of GIZ at the Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Digital Innovation Hub (DIH):
- will make it possible to provide favorable conditions for the development of digital capabilities of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises;
- will contribute to the wider involvement of young people in the provision of digital services to the SMEs and the public sector;
- will create real business impact on the regional innovation ecosystem involving corporations, academia, entrepreneurs, associations and other relevant stakeholders;
- will activate the process of developing digital innovations and their implementation by local manufacturers, while creating a new source of technology for SMEs.
«We are glad that thanks to the support of the German government, GIZ has the opportunity to join initiatives aimed at strengthening the innovative potential of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine and launch the creation of European digital innovation hubs in Ukraine», commented Niclas RüfFer, director of the program «Digital Transformation of SMEs in Countries of the Eastern Partnership» (GIZ).
With the introduction of modern digital technologies into the business processes of small and medium-sized enterprises, SMEs can compete thanks to the continuous self-improvement, which will give enterprises the opportunity to collect, sort, analyze and evaluate a large amount of data regarding internal and external environments, conduct marketing research and quickly respond to market changes.
«Implementation of digitalization in SMEs will have a number of advantages that will allow to increase productivity, increase competitiveness, optimize processes and reduce operational costs. Implementation of the planned activities will give managers and employees of enterprises the opportunity to work with experts in the field of digital innovations, and to improve the qualifications of personnel», said Nazar Podolchak, CEO at Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic.
The presentation of the project «Development of the Lviv Digital Innovation Hub» took place within the framework of the international cooperation project «Digital transformation of SMEs in Countries of the Eastern Partnership» with the financial support of the German government. The strategic executor of the project is the German federal company GIZ Ukraine. The executive partner is Tech StartUp School.
