On the occasion of the 208th anniversary of Lviv Polytechnic, students initiated the fundraising of UAH 208,000 for university graduates who are currently defending our Independence.
Bohdan Mirinchyk, the head of the Students’ Board of Lviv Polytechnic National University, explained why it is important to support such fundraisings:
― First of all, we have to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine to survive. At the same time, such fundraisings give a sense of belonging to one community: students, employees and graduates unite to help our military. This is a moment of uniting around common values.
It is not the first time that students of Lviv Polytechnic join forces to support our defenders in different ways.
– We know that there are no former Polytechnicians. This fundraising will be a significant support for Dmytro Hnativ, a graduate of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies.
In two years since the full-scale invasion, Polytechnicians have organized several large-scale fundraisings.
― Lviv Polytechnicians became the winners in the Hell Energy project by Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, having collected UAH 778,783 for FPV drones. And during the team meeting «Fundraisings/for Polytechnicians», which took place within the framework of the Polytechnic Autumn festival, more than UAH 2.4 million were donated, added Bohdan.
