On May 7, the team of the Lviv Polytechnic Project Office initiated an online meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky with the University management – Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, and Ivan Demydov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research.
Violetta Udovik, Attaché for Culture, Education and Science of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, Nazarii Andrushchak, Head of the Project Office, Nataliia Hots, Head of the Center for International Education, Lviv Polytechnic, and Ihor Zoriy, Head of the Ukrainian-Japanese Center of the University joined the meeting.
- For two hours they talked about:
- the development of cooperation in the field of education through student exchange, internships, joint lectures, seminars, and conferences;
- deepening joint research;
- implementation of joint projects, in particular in the IT sphere;
- participation of Polytechnicians in the Kusanone programme proposed by the Government of Japan to provide financial assistance to development projects.
As a result, clear plans for cooperation were outlined and the main directions of the University’s priority activities for expanding Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation were identified.
