In the First Lviv Media Library, the artist presented about fifty his drawings. Several styles are intertwined in his works: from impressionism to avant-garde, primitivism and pop art. The drawings are bright and sharp, which is why they are memorable for their originality and hidden meaning. Notes in Colour is the first exhibition of the young artist.

As Yurii said, he loves drawing since early childhood. He has no art education, but inherited his talent from his father. He studied history at the Ukrainian Catholic University, but for nine years he has been working in the field of journalism. Today, he is the author of about 400 drawings, and at this exhibition he presented several dozen paintings that he has created in recent years.

Yurii likes drawing vivid colourful pictures that reflect various ideas that arise spontaneously in the course of his life. «Sometimes, I’m doing exercises in the morning – and then out of nowhere I see a drawing and a signature to it in my head. Or I walk through the city, look at a face of a random passer-by, and the idea appears before my eyes. Therefore, my drawings are colourful notes of my thoughts», said the artist.

Note that all paintings have a noticeable author’s style, the essence of which, according to the artist, is to reveal some non-standard, funny, sometimes whimsical ideas and in such a way make people smile, think and look at this or that story from a different angle.
