The Center for International Projects «Euroeducation» in partnership with the international group of experts IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence has published the sixteenth academic ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine «Top-200 Ukraine 2022».
In compiling this year’s ranking, experts took into account current trends in higher education in Ukraine and the world, which is undergoing profound changes, in particular due to the COVID-2019 pandemic and Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The IREG 2020 International Conference (Beijing Conference: University rankings in the time of uncertainty, October 20–21, 2020), IREG 2021 (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Effects of Rankings on Community and Society, November 15 and 16, 2021) and the Berlin Principles, endorsed by the Second IREG Meeting (Berlin, Germany, 18–20 May 2006), were taken into account.
Basic principles of determining the rankings of Ukrainian universities:
- ensuring openness, transparency, objectivity and independence of university rankings;
- taking into account the comprehensiveness and diversity of university activities;
- priority of European integration processes.
According to the results of the «Top 200 Ukraine 2022» ranking, Lviv Polytechnic National University retained the fourth place among Ukrainian higher education institutions.
