The Department of Restoration of Architectural and Artistic Heritage, the Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic, begins restoration work in the so-called «judge’s office» in the academic building on 1 Kniazia Romana Street (former Sąd Krajowy).
The former building of the Sąd Krajowy – «Palace of Justice» (1891–1895, architect Franciszek Skowron) – is a monumental building in the central part of the city. The hall on the second floor is decorated with stucco and paintings by artists from the school of Jan Matejko. In 2009 it became building No. 19 of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
