Representatives of the academic community of Lviv Polytechnic National University took part in the international scientific and practical conference «Addiction in Ukraine. Continuing Challenges». The scientific event was organised on the initiative of Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University.
The group of Lviv Polytechnic researchers and practitioners on addiction was headed by Roman Korzh, Vice-Rector for Education and Social Development. At the conference our university was also represented by Liliia Klos, Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Larysa Klymanska, Professor at the same Department (online from Australia), Halyna Herasym, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and Stanislav Rachkevych, Leading Specialist at the International «Integration» Centre for Professional Partnerships.
The conference was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and was organised by the Department of Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Clinical Psychology, the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, and the Ukrainian Institute of Addiction Psychotherapy.
The achievements of Lviv Polytechnic National University researchers presented to the international interprofessional community demonstrated their practical immersion in the field of addiction and became another important and timely confirmation of our university’s intentions to implement the concept of a healthy inclusive space at Lviv Polytechnic.
