On 28 October – 1 November, 2025, representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University – Professor Zoriana Dvulit, Head of the BUP National Center of in Ukraine, Mariana Priadka, specialist at the Center for International Education and administrative employee at BUP in Ukraine, as well as Lesia Brych, Associate Professor at the Department of Combined Military Training, who is also responsible for the Erasmus+ KA1 program, participated in the annual meeting of Directors of the Baltic University Programme, BUP, and representatives of international offices IROs.
The event was held at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia, and brought together representatives of more than ten partner universities from the Baltic region. Participants discussed the Program’s strategic priorities and collaborated on the development and approval of the BUP Development Strategy 2026–2030 and the Action Plan for 2026.
During the sessions, the following topics were discussed:
- new areas of activity and BUP themes;
- preparation for the BUP Rectors’ Conference 2027;
- the role of national centers and national coordinators in supporting BUP presidencies;
- implementation of the BUP value system, ethics, equality and non-discrimination policies.
Liudmila Babak, Project Coordinator of the Baltic University Programme, emphasized the importance of further developing inter-university networking in the Baltic region, strengthening cooperation between national center directors and international offices, and ensuring the active engagement of universities in BUP initiatives.
One day was dedicated to meetings with representatives of the BUP IROs Network, where coordination mechanisms between national centers and international departments of universities were discussed. Among the key topics there was the exchange of experience in implementing Erasmus+ KA1 programs, the development of interuniversity projects, and planning joint events for 2026.
Professor Zoriana Dvulit, Head of the BUP National Center in Ukraine, presented the activities of the Center, which coordinates the participation of Ukrainian universities in the Baltic University Program, and shared her experience of cooperation with the Center for International Education of Lviv Polytechnic and other Ukrainian partner universities. Lesia Brych took part in the work of the IROs group, and Mariana Priadka joined the discussions on the strategic directions of BUP development.
The participation of representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University in this event contributed to strengthening international cooperation, exchange of experience, and increasing the role of Ukrainian universities in the BUP network.
