In the war situation in which we found ourselves, the consequences of Covid-19 took a back seat, but this disease continues to spread in different countries of the world, and lung problems continue to disturb Ukrainians.

The scientific group of the Department of Electronic Computing Machines, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, Lviv Polytechnic, has developed Healthy Lungs – wireless devices designed to monitor the condition of the lungs of patients suffering not only from Covid-19, but also from other ailments, for example, asthma, vascular disease or oncology.

With the help of appropriate applications, doctors will be able to monitor the condition of their patients, who are both in hospital wards and at home, and experience both inpatient and outpatient care.

This study was conducted within the framework of the Applications mobiles for 24h/24 surveillance of the pulmonary function of patients attending COVID-19 project, which is funded by a grant from L’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie AUF to find ways to fight against COVID-19.
