A delegation from the Austrian company BMTS Technology Austria GmbH, a globally active manufacturer of exhaust turbochargers, paid a visit to the university to offer their partnership.
Subsidiaries of BMTS Technology are located in different countries of the world. Recently, it has decided to establish such an enterprise in Lviv. The company’s office will operate in January 2019 and will be aimed at creating a plant. Taking care of the future staff, BMTS Technology decided to establish cooperation with Lviv Polytechnic in order to subsequently invite its graduates to work. The delegation was acquainted with the activities of two university education institutions that are related to the work of the Austrian enterprise, namely, the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems and the Institute of Engineering Mechanics and Transport.
BMTS Technology expressed a willingness to cooperate with IPEC and IEMT as they got convinced the teaching staff of the Institutes train skilled professionals for their future enterprise. Nataliia Hotz, Head of Center for International Education of Lviv Polytechnic commented on the partnership proposal:
– University is interested in mutually beneficial cooperation – so that partner companies create training laboratories, facilitate the educational process, provide financial support, etc. Therefore, Vice-Rector Dmytro Fedasiuk gave for guests a presentation on the types of cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and the enterprises. Today we have agreed to establish cooperation: the company plans to open its laboratories in the Institutes, provide the equipment, coordinate disciplines, in particular, the company’s employees will be able to teach some disciplines. The next step is to sign the relevant agreement.
