On February 9, an important event took place for Lviv Polytechnic. The Christian organization «St. Jadwiga Foundation Dortmund-Wroclaw-Lviv» handed equipment worth almost 200 thousand hryvnias to the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies for the educational process of the Department of Computer-Aided Design. An uninterruptible local power supply systems is based on modern inverters and batteries, as well as mini-UPS to provide routers and information transmission systems.
According to Professor Mykhailo Lobur, Head of the Department of Computer-Aided Design, ICSIT, this will enable faculty to conduct classes both in classrooms and remotely.
Great efforts to collect such equipment were made by our Polish colleagues – heads of the Christian organization «St. Jadwiga Foundation Dortmund-Wroclaw-Lviv» Justyna Stazak and Kazimierz Pabisiak, as well as the caring residents of Wroclaw and its surroundings who joined this initiative, and a graduate of the Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic, Ivan Lypchey, who helped buy the necessary equipment. Several times Ivan contacted Professor Mykhailo Lobur to choose quality equipment.
