Lviv Polytechnic National University received three generators from the City Council of Gliwice (Silesian Voivodeship, Poland). They were given to the university community to support the operation of the Polytechnic’s critical infrastructure during power outages caused by Russian aggression.
One of the generators weighs 570 kg and produces a power of 20 kW. The other two have a capacity of 7 kW. These three generators are new, primed and completely ready to be used.
Generators were delivered from the Republic of Poland to Lviv thanks to the efforts of the heads of the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid, Volodymyr Shepitchak and Yurii Malynovskyi.
– The mayor and administration of Gliwice are great people who deeply understand our problems, – says Yurii Malynovskyi. – They carefully monitor and worry about the development of events in Ukraine. They cherish the right values and understand that the future belongs to educated people, so the university must fulfill its mission – to teach and educate young people. The City Council of Gliwice voted unanimously to transfer the property of the city, these generators, to the balance and for the use of Lviv Polytechnic.
Yurii Malynovskyi also expressed the opinion that after the victory in the war, Polytechnic will reach a new level of relations development with Polish partners.
In the nearest future, the heads of the Center for the Collection of Humanitarian Aid will visit Katowice, whose mayor’s office also volunteered to help Polytechnic with generators.
Let us remind you that Lviv Polytechnic recently received another batch of generators from Polish partners, the largest weighing three tons.
