On 23 October, Inesa Shumilo, an Open4UA project team member, met with professors and researchers of the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) School of Law, Dr. Javad Keypour, Dr. Artem Boyarchuk, and Jelena Sõrmus. Inesa Shumilo introduced the results of the work of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University team on the screening of the current Ukrainian legislation in the field of Open Science and the draft amendments to the Laws of Ukraine ‘On Scientific and Technical Information,’ ‘On Copyright and Related Rights,’ etc. The Estonian colleagues spoke about TalTech University's policy on Open Access to scientific publications and research data. The meeting was held within the International Open Access Week (23-27 October). This year's theme, Community over Commercialisation, aims to encourage discussion/reflection on which open science approaches prioritise the best interests of the public and the academic community and which do not.
