On the initiative of the Vector Software, Ragnar Hauge, chief researcher of Norsk Regnesentral, visited Lviv Polytechnic National University. He gave two lectures: Making Predictions with Uncertainty and Geological Modeling with Stable Diffusion. Stable Diffusion is a text-to-image model that has recently become quite popular and is already being used for a variety of research and commercial solutions such as imaging and video game development.
The first lecture gave the participants a comprehensive understanding of the methodologies and tools used in practice. Hauge’s expertise highlighted various methods of information processing, which is a key aspect of forecasting modeling. Such approaches are used in various fields: from finance to health care.
The second lecture immersed students in the fascinating world of an advanced model of text-to-image conversion. Recently, it has become extremely popular due to its universal application in research and commercial field.
