Christian Wig, a lecturer from Oslo, Norway, started delivering a Startup course at Lviv Polytechnic National University. The course will last until the end of the 2023 semester. All lectures will be held online.

On the initiative of the Vector Software IT company, students will have the opportunity to dive into the world of startups. With extensive experience in business models, technology and startup ecosystems, Christian is eager to make a significant impact on the academic community with his lectures. This collaboration demonstrates the University’s commitment to providing students with access to cutting-edge expertise and real-world perspectives.

Christian Wig is an early stage mentor and investor, part of the Vector Software team. He is specialized in the intersection of business models and technology, with a special interest for enterprise-level B2B, edtech and corporate learning & development. As a mentor and business expert Christian is quite active in various startup ecosystems, mainly focused on B2B software, and ideally in quite active roles where he may contribute with lessons learned from the consulting practice and from previous startups, in particular related to shaping and refining business models.

His lectures promise to be a dynamic fusion of real-world insights, case studies, and innovative strategies, providing students with a hands-on understanding of the evolving business landscape. His multidisciplinary background equips him with a unique perspective that aligns perfectly with Lviv Polytechnic’s commitment to providing students with a holistic education that bridges the gap between theory and practical application: online lectures, master classes and modules.

This course about startups will consist of such topics as:

  • Fundamentals of shaping a startup;
  • Development and review of students’ initial business models;
  • Beyond the problem/solution fit – more advanced startup development.

The target audience for this course is students who lack practical application of startup initiatives. As students embark on this academic journey with Christian Wig, they can look forward to gaining valuable insights, refining their entrepreneurial skills, and exploring new horizons in the world of business development.

Christian Wig is looking forward to sharing his considerable expertise and experience to current and future entrepreneurs and innovators of Ukraine.
