On August 17, 2022, Lviv Polytechnic National University and EPAM signed an agreement on cooperation and recognition of learning outcomes obtained through non-formal education. In this way, business and higher education create new opportunities for students and faculty.

The agreement provides for the recognition of learning outcomes obtained at the educational programs of the EPAM company, such as Design UX/UI, .NET, JAVA, Android, Business Analytics, DWB, DevOps, FrontEnd (Javascript), Performance Testing, Phyton, Quality Assurance, Ruby on Rails, and iOs for the first-year bachelor’s students, and Solution Architecture, Delivery Management, Systems Engineering (DevOps&Cloud), and Data Engineering (Big Data) for the second-year master’s students.

The Master’s Program from the EPAM School of Digital Engineering for experienced IT specialists will start in the fall. In addition to the EPAM certificate in 4 areas, program participants can receive master’ degrees (diplomas) from state university. The good news is that from now on, the results obtained in the program can be transferred to the university education system, and therefore, you can save time and focus your efforts on learning.

Opportunities for this appeared this year due to the decision on recognition of learning outcomes obtained through non-formal education by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Based on it, the Master’s Program and Ukrainian universities conclude an agreement on cooperation and crediting of study results in the program from EPAM. We would like to remind you that in all specialties of the 12 «Information Technologies» program participants can transfer up to 35% of educational credits to the academic program based on the participant’s application.

«We always say that the success of the Ukrainian educational system and the future of Ukrainian IT depends on the same model of cooperation – the state, business and universities. We are glad that today we can offer a working model that will make life easier for students and enable them to receive a higher quality education at home by combining academic and non-formal education», commented on the signing of the contract Nataliia Ostashko, head of the Master’s Program.

«The Department of Software, the Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technologies, is working on the approval of educational programs in the specialty 121 «Software Engineering», because this year the EPAM company employees expressed a desire to enter a master’s degree program», said Dmytro Fedasiuk, head of the Department of Software.

Each mastered discipline must correspond to professional and general competencies and learning outcomes. For this, within the framework of the signed agreement, compliance protocols will be drawn up on the basis of acquired competences and learning outcomes of non-formal education. This will make it possible to qualitatively assess the acquired knowledge and transfer a certain number of credits to the student’s gradebook at the University.

Let us remind you that the Master’s Program from EPAM takes place in 4 directions: Solution Architecture, Delivery Management, Systems Engineering, and Data Engineering. Its peculiarity is training from practitioners, EPAM experts, and the transfer of knowledge that is most in demand in modern IT.
