The first stage of the ONLY (Open a New Leader in Yourself) project – an educational program aimed at helping participants develop leadership and innovation in Ukrainian higher education institutions – has ended. Its first part is a mini-MBA with Ukrainian and international lecturers.
The participants joined 8 online meetings with 6 lecturers, where they had the opportunity to discuss various aspects of the development and work of Ukrainian higher education institutions.
- At two meetings Olena Chorna presented the topic of self-reflection and emotional management.
- Liubomyr Matseh-Ukrainian moderated two meetings – on the strategic vision of the development of the educational institution and on leadership.
- Pavlo Sheremeta held a discussion on the topic «Strategy for the development of higher education institution: modern realities».
- Vira Pustovit presented the topic of personal branding.
- Together with Yaryna Kliuchkovska, the participants discussed the importance of strategic communications.
- Olena Stepanenko talked about various conflict situations that arise in teams.
«For 8 weeks, every Wednesday, the participants attended meetings that lasted two or more hours as the topics covered various areas of life of a successful leader of an educational institution. During this time, the participants not only studied, but also in teams discussed projects and problems, shared experience and gave advice on different issues. This is very important, because the main goal of the project is to create a community of female leaders who will change and support changes in the development of higher education institutions in Ukraine», said Nazar Podolchak, head of Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic.
Then, the participants will join mentoring sessions from Ukrainian and British experts. In the final, there will be a presentation of the projects, and three participants will have the opportunity to undergo a free internship at universities in Great Britain.
The project is implemented by Kingston University, Lviv Polytechnic National University and Tech StartUp School with the support of the British Council Ukraine within the program Going Global Partnerships Gender Equality Partnerships.
