Andriy Voronov, Professor, the Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials, the North Dakota State University (NDSU) of the United States of America, visited the Department of Organic Chemistry, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
During his visit, a meeting was held with students and staff of the Department, where it was presented interesting information about NDSU, as well as information about the possibilities for Ukrainian students and postgraduate students to undergo summer research internship in the US under the USURE program (more information – at the Department of Organic Chemistry). In addition, the faculty of the Department discussed issues related to improving the quality of education at the bachelor’s and master’s degrees, including making certain changes in educational programs, prospects for joint research, projects, etc.
As a result of the meeting the Rector Professor Yurii Bobalo signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Lviv Polytechnic National University and North Dakota State University, certified by the signature of NDSU President Professor Dean L. Bresciani. This document provides for the joint development and implementation of measures to increase the capacity of both universities, and to promote the further development of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States of America.
