Representatives of the law departments of the Institute of Law, Psychology and Innovative Education (Administrative and Information Law, International and Criminal Law, Theory of Law and Constitutionalism, Civil Law and Procedure) together with colleagues from the Institute of Public Administration, Governance and Professional Development, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, the Institute of Economics and Management and Roman Korzh, Vice-Rector for Education and Social Development, took part in the international scientific internship «Public Administration in Germany. Dual training», organized by the German-Ukrainian Educational Centre of Lviv Polytechnic National University in the format of the fifth Symposium for university academics and students in Thuringia, Germany.
During the five-day internship, the participants visited public authorities (tax office, Thuringian Ministry of Finance, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and FAV Service gGmbH in Erfurt and Gotha City Council) and different educational institutions (Thuringia University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration, Hugo Mairich Vocational Training Center in Goth and others) to obtain additional information on public administration and civil service, taxation and finance, implementation of dual education, functioning of law enforcement agencies and local self-government.
Numerous meetings, presentations, discussions and workshops in different locations (Gotha, Erfurt, Meiningen) allowed the internship participants to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of the introduction of dual education and the formation of an effective, competitive system of educational services, identify the challenges and threats to its implementation in the education space of Ukraine, taking into account the realities of today (awareness of wartime challenges, development of digitalization and improvement of artificial intelligence, involvement of blockchain technologies and reform of the educational services market).
The experience obtained during the internship will become a motivation for further improvement of educational programs (an impetus to increase the involvement of various stakeholder groups in the design of new programs, updating and implementation of existing programs in the context of the symbiosis of mentoring and job shadowing), taking into account the development of dual education, the prospect of integrating the Institute of Law, Psychology and Innovative Education into the international academic space, as well as deepening international cooperation and academic mobility of participants in the educational process.
