Lviv Polytechnic has signed a memorandum with Charles K. Whitehead, co-founder of the Ukraine Phoenix Venture Capital Fund, which provides for cooperation with eō Business Incubators, a new incubation program for the Ukrainian business ecosystem with mentoring support for startups.
At the meeting with Yurii Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, Ivan Demydov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, and Nazarii Podolchak, Director of Tech StartUp School, they discussed the implementation of an intensive training program on creating and running a successful business.
Charles K. Whitehead is convinced that Ukraine’s scientific achievements are widely recognized around the world, and Ukrainian developers are very successful in many global high-tech companies. Five tech start-ups from Ukraine have already exceeded a business valuation of $1 billion. However, many Ukrainian scientists and developers still doubt that these success stories apply to them.
The first phase of the program, in accordance with the signed Memorandum of Understanding, involves the registration of scientists and students in a program to commercialize the developments of Ukrainian universities. The program aims to bring Ukrainian innovations to global technology markets to make Ukrainian success in this area more widespread.
«Our goal is to create innovative businesses in Ukraine based on Ukrainian research and development. We want the value (and technology) to remain Ukrainian.
eō Business Incubators was founded in 2019. To date, more than 140 startups have completed the program with an overall return on investment (XIRR) of over 40%. Alumni of this program have achieved top results at more than 20 prestigious global technology exhibitions and investment forums.
If you have an idea or a scientific and technological development that you would like to build a business on by participating in the eō incubation program, we invite you to attend an introductory lecture by Charles K. Whitehead, the founder of eō Business Incubators. He is a prominent American investment banker who has held senior positions at Citibank and Salomon Brothers, and is one of the founders of the Cornell Tech program (a world-renowned academic technology hub in New York), as well as a professor at Cornell University», eō Business Incubators said.
