Under the conditions of a significant reduction of the financing of higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2023 under the program 2201040 «Scientific and technical activities of higher education and scientific institutions», universities tried to increase their participation in grant programs.
Using information from open sources (data from the Community Research and Development Information Service (CORDIS), EACEA Projects Results Platform, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, National Research Foundation of Ukraine), the Center for International Projects «EuroOsvita» compiled the efficiency ranking of Ukrainian HEI’s participating in the main science project competitions (international and national) in 2023.
Lviv Polytechnic National University took second place in this ranking, after the National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute». However, in 2023, Lviv Polytechnicians carried out the largest number of projects among Ukrainian universities – 23.
