The Center for International Projects «Euroeducation» in partnership with the international group of experts IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence presented eighteenth academic ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine «Top 200 Ukraine 2024».
When compiling this year’s ranking, experts took into account current trends in the development of higher education, which is in a state of profound change in the course of ongoing reforms and is suffering great losses as a result of Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine.
Among the main directions of further development of ranking technologies, it was proposed to use the multi-criteria approaches to assessing the effectiveness of universities based on the processing of large amounts of data on the work of HEIs (Big Data), which can be obtained from open sources and whose validity can be verified. The eighteenth academic ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine «Top 200 Ukraine 2024» is based on these principles.
Basic principles of determining the university ranking «Top 200 Ukraine 2024»:

to ensuring openness, transparency, objectivity and independence of university rankings;

to take into account the comprehensiveness and diversity of universities’ activities;
-
to prioritize European integration processes.
According to the results of the eighteenth academic ranking of higher education institutions «Top 200 Ukraine 2024» Lviv Polytechnic National University ranks third. It is worth mentioning that our university has risen to this position after several years of being on the fourth position of the ranking.
