Thanks to the partnership initiative of the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, there is the NWO Hop-On Call for Researchers Based in Ukraine, which aims to stimulate online participation of qualified researchers from Ukraine in current projects of the Dutch Research Council and expand their professional network within the Dutch research community. The call provides for the involvement of Ukrainian researchers, with their research ideas in related projects, who have already won and received funding from the Dutch Research Council.
Seven researchers of various scientific fields from Ukraine received such an opportunity. Among the winners there is Tetiana Stepura, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor at the Department of Business Economics and Investment, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic National University. Her project idea «Experience of Ukrainian labour migrants in Europe – experience of decent work?» will be implemented by a team of researchers from the University of Groningen led by Professor Lisa Herzog within the project «Working Democracy. A philosophy of work for democratic societies».
As one of the first winners, Lviv Polytechnician was invited to express her opinions on the website of the Dutch Research Council.
«Nowadays, more than ever, Ukrainian science seeks a constructive reorientation towards European integration. The Hop-On Call provided an opportunity to establish relations for institutional assistance and collaboration. I am sure that my participation in the project will make a significant contribution to the expansion of Ukrainian-Dutch scientific cooperation in the long term. Moreover, it will contribute to the further integration of Ukrainian science into the European system of traditions and values. For me, participation in this project means a new, inspiring and higher level of cooperation, which provides opportunities for unique professional experience and personal development. I am sincerely happy about these wonderful prospects!» said Professor Tetiana Stepura.
