The State Enterprise «Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute» published the analytical report «Industrial property in numbers. Indicators of activity in the field of Industrial Property for 9 months of 2022».
This edition presents the main results of activity in the field of Industrial Property, as well as indicators of the innovation activity of national applicants.
Over the course of 9 months, the most active among national legal entity applicants were organizations working in the fields of Education (66.2%), Scientific research and development (20.7%), and only 13.1% of applications accounted for other industries. The number of applications for inventions and utility models in the field of Education decreased by 48.8%, the number of applications in the field of Scientific research and development decreased by 35.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The most active in 9 months of 2022 were the organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES of Ukraine), the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS of Ukraine), the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
In particular, among the institutions of higher education with the largest number of inventions (number of applications for inventions and utility models) for 9 months of 2022, Lviv Polytechnic National University ranks first.
