We have been celebrating Charity Day on the second Sunday of December for four years now. This day reminds us about the need of charity for those who need it, the importance of supporting civic initiatives, society’s commitment to the principles of charity and humanism, and active promotion of charitable activities.

Among the most noteworthy charitable initiatives of our University is the project «Norway-Ukraine. Professional adaptation. Integration into the state system» (professional retraining of ATO participants), training course «Project Management» for ATO / OOS veterans that is operating at Tech StartUp School, as well as «No Limits» Accessibility Services, which help young people with disabilities to obtain higher education. Students and academic staff join the collection of specialized educational literature for the evacuated from the occupied Donetsk Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, as well as for schoolchildren of Lysychansk and Ukrainian educators in Argentina. We actively cooperate with orphanages, ATO soldiers and members of their families.

It’s also worth mentioning the Charity Winter Balls, which were traditionally organized at the University since 2011 and were held until the beginning of quarantine measures. For several years, this event was held in accordance with the best European ballroom traditions. In June 2019, as part of the Alumni Forum, Lviv Polytechnic launched a new tradition – a charity dinner in white, organized to strengthen cooperation with philanthropists – graduates and friends of the University.
