The SCImago lab has produces SCImago Institutions Rankings 2023.
SCImago Institutions Rankings is a scientometric ranking of scientific organizations, not only institutions of higher education. The only limitation for inclusion in the ranking is to have less than 100 publications of any type indexed by Scopus in the 5 years preceding the year of rankings publication.
SCImago evaluates scientific organizations based on 17 indicators combined into three groups.
- Indicators evaluating research work. This group includes eleven indicators, the total weight of which is 50%.
- Indicators evaluating innovative activity. Three indicators are included here, the total weighting factor is 30%.
- Indicators assessing social impact. Three web indicators are included, the total weighting factor is 20%.
44 Ukrainian higher education institutions were included in the rankings. Lviv Polytechnic National University ranks fourth among them.
