The World Universities Web Ranking 2024 is the ranking of universities by popularity on the Internet.
The uniRank University Ranking, formerly known as 4ICU, positions itself as a non-academic ranking that examines the quality of presentation and popularity of higher education institutions on the Internet based on independent webometric indicators collected from leading sources (Moz, Majestic, SimilarWeb). The compilers of the ranking note that this approach is designed to help students, academics and researchers assess the popularity of the university.
The 4icu website (Four International Colleges & Universities) is the leading international higher education portal and search engine featuring reviews and rankings of over 13,900 officially recognized Universities and Colleges in 200 countries.
The current uniRank University Ranking is based on an algorithm that includes 4 unbiased and independent web metrics derived from 3 different web analytics sources:
- Majestic Referring Domains with a minimum Trust Flow (55%);
- Similarweb Global Rank (35%);
- Moz Domain Authority (5%);
- Majestic Trust Flow (5%).
To determine which Ukrainian universities are the most popular in 2024, the UniRank examined the webometric indicators of about 200 Ukrainian higher education institutions. In particular, the following universities are included in the Top 5:
- National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute»;
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv;
- V. Karazin National University of Kharkiv;
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv;
- Lviv Polytechnic National University.
