Recently Lviv Polytechnic has held a scientific and practical seminar on the Use of Space Technologies in the Interests of the National Economy of the Carpathian Region. The event was organized by the Department of Higher Geodesy and Astronomy of the Institute of Geodesy in collaboration with the National Space Facilities Control and Test Center (NSFCTC).
There were also two roundtable discussions – «Main activities of the National Center regarding the use of navigation technologies and SKAKO data in the interests of the Carpathian region» and «Main activities of the National Center regarding the use of Remote Sensing Technologies in the interests of the Carpathian region».
It is worth noting that the Department organizes such science events not for the first time. Previously, there were held roundtable discussions with the participation of leading researchers from the Space Research Center of Polish Academy of Sciences, as well as meetings with such astronauts as Leonid Kadeniuk, Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper, NASU researchers, including space biologist Nadiia Adamchuk-Chala, representatives of Yuzhnoye design office, etc.
