Cooperation with leading enterprises and companies helps Lviv Polytechnic to form a powerful practical base, as well as to expand opportunities for students to obtain a competitive education. Recently, our University started large-scale cooperation with the Antonov State Enterprise.
The first meeting with the delegation took place this year in January. Recently, representatives of Antonov State Enterprise held three lectures for Polytechnicians – faculty and students – focusing on the latest equipment used in aircraft construction. They also talked about the specifics of the measurement, which makes it possible to do aerodynamic research and 3D modeling.
― Our company is interested in personnel, so we agreed that we will help Lviv Polytechnic to train relevant specialists. We have already signed a cooperation agreement. State Enterprise «Antonov» is a pioneer in the implementation of dual education. We have been working with the National Aerospace University «Kharkiv Aviation Institute» and National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute». Now we are developing the same cooperation with Lviv Polytechnic National University. Students of these institutions of higher education, starting from the fourth year of study, work for us as technicians on a permanent basis, and after graduation – as engineers. We are ready to accept young people for internship with the prospect of employment. To deepen theoretical knowledge and supplement it with practical experience, we involve our specialists in the teaching process. We are convinced that such practice with Lviv Polytechnic students is only a matter of time, emphasized Serhii Fil, the chief designer for perspective development of Antonov State Enterprise.
The representatives of the Institutes emphasized that they most need help in methodological provision, equipment for laboratories, and improvement of knowledge and skills.
– We are all working on the same thing, but everyone has his own direction. Our Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding, the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport, studies the construction of the aircraft body, its strength, and manufacturing technology. The internal filling and avionics, it is the sphere of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, the Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering, said Olesia Maksymovych, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding.
Mykola Brych, the Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering, added:
― Our joint efforts will be relevant even in peacetime, for example, for cultivating fields, extinguishing fires, helping in the event of house destruction, and delivering cargo. This is the future. Therefore, cooperation with Antonov State Enterprise will be in demand in any case.
Analyzing the possible cooperation development with Lviv Polytechnic, Serhii Fil said:
– We must adapt the educational process so that the interests of the university and our enterprise are taken into account. Therefore, first of all, we discuss what computers and programs are needed so that students can acquire the knowledge they need during the work. Attention was also focused on what educational laboratories should be equipped with. In addition, we talked about what visual materials and layouts are needed. I am convinced that this will be a joint methodical work that will soon give powerful results.
