Lviv Academic Gymnasium at Lviv Polytechnic National University, hosted a charity event «From Heart to Heart» aimed at supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For three days, students brought sweets, coffee, nuts, socks, warm clothes, thermochemical heaters, etc., which were then handed over to volunteers who would deliver them directly to the front.
– We have collected about 12 thousand hryvnias to repair a car for the 214th Separate special battalion OPFOR, where the brother of our student serves. And for the 45th brigade, where the father of our 10th grade student serves, we collected about 18 thousand hryvnias to purchase a car. And that is not all. We also submitted an account in our school telegram channel for parents, and they also send money, says Marta Chukhrai, head of the Sports and Culture Committee in the Gymnasium parliament.
Aid was also sent to the 24th brigade. But, in addition to the humanitarian cargo, students independently prepared Valentine’s Day cards for our soldiers.
– We had two boxes at the entrance to the gymnasium, one was for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and one was for our students. Then we handed over this box to the front for our Armed Forces, says Nazar Levytskyi, a member of the Gymnasium parliament.
It is worth noting that holding such an action is entirely the initiative of the Gymnasium parliament, which includes the students themselves. Also, on the occasion of the holiday, the Gymnasium held relay races for students. The competitions were different, so everyone could show their strengths.
This is not the first time such actions have been held here.
– In general, such charity events are very traditional and often take place in our Gymnasium. These good ideas come from the hearts of our students to the hearts of our soldiers, adds Nataliia Petrovska, a teacher at the Lviv Academic Gymnasium at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
In total, according to calculations, over three days, the gymnasium managed to collect more than 30 thousand hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
