Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation has been established at Lviv Polytechnic National University. The promoter of this initiative is University Rector Professor Yurii Bobalo and Head of the Center Orest Vasylko. The Center has to become a perfect meeting place for intellectuals, artists and everyone who wants to create or maintain relationships with Italy. Thus, the Italian Cultural Center will become the main information spot about Italy, as well as the center for the promotion of cultural initiatives and activities, such as organization of the events in the fields of art, music, cinema, theater, photography, literature and gastronomy.
The Center also intends to offer access to the Italian language courses at various levels.
The creation of the Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation could facilitate the exchange between foreign universities and, in the future, initiate bilateral studies between the two countries.
The Institute promotes the image of Italy and its culture, classical and modern.
In the near future, the Italian Institute of Language and Culture envisages cooperation with Italian universities, music conservatories and academies of arts for cultural exchange of students, candidates, PhDs and academics (exchange projects for foreigners and international projects) to complete or improve training in a foreign country.
Finally, the Center will provide services to help prepare documents as well as enter and pass exams at partner universities.
