Lviv IT Cluster is actively working on the implementation of educational projects, due to which it is possible to reform, improve and create new modern bachelor’s programs. The 2021 admission campaign is over, and in September more than a thousand freshmen will start studying under programs created through cooperation between universities and Lviv IT Cluster.
Lviv Polytechnic National University has 7 programs created in cooperation with the IT Cluster. The lion’s share of freshmen – almost 700 students – will also study here. This is every eleventh of those who applied for innovative programs of the Cluster at Lviv Polytechnic.
The Cybersecurity specialty is in the greatest demand. 260 people will major in it. It is worth noting that IT Cluster joined the preparation of the educational program for the specialization 0400 «Administration of Cybersecurity Systems», which students will be able to choose after the first year of study.
The additional unit Artificial Intelligence in Computer Science was chosen by 120 freshmen. In September, 106 freshmen will start studying the Internet of Things, 70 students will study Business Analytics & Data Science, 60 have chosen Robotics, and 51 students will major in Devops & Project Management. In addition, 23 students got interested in a completely new major – IT Sales Management.
This year’s admission campaign was marked not only by record numbers, but also by high passing scores of entrants. In particular, the minimum score of students recommended for the government-funded places in the Internet of Things and Business Analytics & Data Science, Lviv Polytechnic National University, were 193.4 and 196.4.
