At the invitation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Iryna Klyuchkovska, Director of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, Lviv Polytechnic National University, spoke on the issues of organizing an educational environment for Ukrainian children who permanently or temporarily live outside Ukraine at a working meeting of representatives of the central executive authorities, state and scientific institutions of Ukraine and representatives of public organizations and Ukrainian schools abroad.
The event was held online on February 28, 2024.
Andrii Stashkiv, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress, Tetiana Vakulenko, Head of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, Olena Vashchenko, Head of the Office of the World Ukrainian Community and Humanitarian Initiatives, the Department General for Public Diplomacy and Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrainian educators from abroad and other interested persons attended the meeting.
The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the possible ways of cooperation to meet the needs of Ukrainian schoolchildren abroad.
The Director of IECDR presented the vision of the Institute regarding the need to support Saturday and Sunday schools as educational institutions that nurture the Ukrainian identity of children living abroad, stressing that this direction will soon become one of the priorities of the state education policy.
Iryna Kliuchkovska presented the educational projects of the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations and noted that such meetings improve the internal communication of the Ministry of Education and Science and promote effective interaction.
