On 28 October 2022, Lviv Polytechnic held an interactive event - a workshop "Pump Up Your Digitalisation". The event was organised by the team of the European Studies for Technical Specialities at Lviv Polytechnic National University (EUSTS) project. The aim of the workshop was to develop the participants' skills and abilities to use modern information technologies and services to improve the life of a person, society and the state. Students and teachers of Lviv Polytechnic joined the event.
The workshop consisted of two parts. During the first part, participants learned about the features of various services (Diia, e-Petitions, e-Baby, e-PPO, etc.), the specifics of identification, authentication and authorisation processes, and digital identification of a person. Modern Ukrainian e-government services have been developed under co-financing and grant programmes of the European Union. The practical part consisted of creating a photo profile that would allow the participant to identify themselves as an employee/student of a particular institution. Thus, students and teachers of the University gained practical skills in adding the Lviv Polytechnic logo to their photos in various networks (Facebook, MS Teams, etc.).
As the accuracy and presentation of personal information is an important condition for Ukraine's integration into the EU and a key to using the experience of European institutions in the provision of administrative services by the authorities, the second part of the workshop focused on the challenges of creating your own brand on social media.
The participants of the event were presented with the features of certain software for high-quality management of social media pages (Snapseed, Language is the DNA of the Nation, Grammarly, UNUM, Unfold). Finally, participants learned about the basic rules of information security and discussed the dangers of digitalisation.
The EUSTS project team sincerely thanks all the participants of this event - students and teachers - and continues to work on preparing other equally interesting events on relevant topics of Ukraine's European integration.
