The National Scholarship Program (NSP) was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic in 2005. The program was created to support the mobility of international students and postgraduate students, teachers of HEIs, researchers and artists during their studies or research work in Slovak higher education institutions and research centers. The NSP is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
This year the employees of the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, Lviv Polytechnic National University, namely Professor Oleksandr Hrytsenko, Associate Professors Volodymyr Krasinskyi and Volodymyr Moravskyi, Research Fellow Andrii Masiuk and 3rd year postgraduate student Anastasiia Kucherenko received scholarships for research internships in Slovakia within the framework of the National Scholarship Program. The internship took place at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Košice.
The purpose of the internship was to conduct research in five individual research projects. The research results will be the basis for further fundamental and applied research in the field of Polymer Composite Materials. A multidisciplinary unique research group was organized to carry out research on the topics of the projects. The work helped to increase the scientific potential of young researchers. The group included young researchers from various fields - Plastics Processing, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Modeling.
In addition, researchers of Lviv Polytechnic got acquainted with the structure of the Slovak University, the peculiarities of the educational process, as well as deepened their skills while working on modern equipment in the research laboratories at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Košice.
