On October 31, 2025, the head of the EU_LEAD project, Prof. Yaryna Turchyn, took part in the final conference on the results of the Jean Monnet Module project "Sustainable Urban Transport Policy in Europe" (SUTRAN), implemented by the Department of Transport Systems and Logistics of the O. M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economics. The SUTRAN team created a new vision of urban transport - ecological, inclusive and people-oriented. The event was attended by 63 participants from different cities of Ukraine, including the university administration, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, the project team, scientists, teachers, students, representatives of local authorities, public organizations and transport companies. During the event, Kharkiv colleagues shared their own practices in implementing European studies, developing educational components within the project, conducting advanced training courses for teachers and other stakeholders, etc.
For her part, Prof. Yaryna Turchyn shared her experience in implementing Jean Monnet projects at Lviv Polytechnic, in particular the EUSTS project ("European Studies for Students of Technical Specialties") and EU_LEAD ("EU Global Responsible Leadership: Climate Change, Environmental Protection and Humanitarian Aid"). The professor emphasized the importance of implementing such projects in technical universities, because European policies and approaches to ecology, climate, transport, energy, etc. are extremely important for the successful European integration process of Ukraine.
